Apex CoVantage to Open New Software Center of Excellence by End of Q2

Herndon, VA (PRWEB) February 20, 2008 -- Apex CoVantage, a leading knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) company, today announced that it will open a new Software Center of Excellence (SCoE) in the U.S. by the end of Q2 and will hire 50 new IT professionals. The new location, which will specialize in software development, will allow Apex to focus on designing and developing software engineering initiatives in a number of important technical areas. Additionally, the new site will give Apex the opportunity to explore new affiliations and partnerships with companies in the local region. Cities currently being considered are in North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Florida and Texas.

"The plan to move these jobs back to the U.S. was driven by the need for real-time service to cater to our requirements for cutting-edge software applications. Specifically, the new location will be selected based on our ability to attract and retain highly professional staff. The center will serve as a focal point to harness the computer skills and expertise of an emerging work force in that key market, while allowing the team to learn from and help each other as they undertake advanced development initiatives," said Dr. Shashikant Gupta, President of Apex CoVantage.

The Apex SCoE will facilitate the consistent application of best practices in all dimensions of software engineering including people, process and technology and will continue to support the cost-effective software development solutions offered by the company. The center will be a state-of-the-art facility in all respects.
